Terms of Service

1. Using HopFocus

HopFocus provides personalised, New Zealand Curriculum-aligned tutoring and homeschool learning for children in Years 1–8. By creating an account, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and any child profiles you create.

2. Plans, trial and billing

• HopFocus offers a 7-day free trial. A payment card is not required to start the trial; you will not be charged during the trial period.
• After the trial, Tutoring is billed at $29/month per child, and Homeschool is billed at $69/month for the first child and $59/month for each additional child, unless otherwise stated on hopfocus.co.nz.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. HopFocus does not store your card details.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the activity that happens under your account. Child profiles are created and controlled by the parent or caregiver who owns the account.

4. Acceptable use

HopFocus is intended for personal, family use in supporting a child's education. Please don't attempt to disrupt the service, share a paid account outside your own household, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

5. Content and ownership

Lessons, worksheets and curriculum content on HopFocus are provided for your family's use while subscribed. Printable worksheets may be printed for your own child's use. HopFocus content should not be redistributed, resold, or reproduced for other families or organisations without permission.

6. No guarantee of results

HopFocus is a learning support tool, not a replacement for professional educational assessment. While we align content to the New Zealand Curriculum, we can't guarantee specific academic outcomes.

7. Changes and cancellation

We may update features, pricing or these terms from time to time; we'll do our best to let you know of significant changes. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

8. Liability

HopFocus is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
